Anniversary bash

The Music Conservatory of Westchester, 216 Central Ave. in White Plains, will kick off its 80th anniversary celebration at 1 p.m.

Rebecca Allan’s recent exhibition, Painting Music, will be unveiled at the event and will remain on display through the end of the year. The celebration, which is free and open to the public, will be held outside the Michael Stadther and Helen Demetrios Recital Hall. It will include performances by faculty and students, award and special citation announcements, as well as refreshments.

The series of forty abstract works is inspired by contemporary musicians and composers who have an important place in Ms. Allan’s life.
