The show can be viewed on Fridays, from noon to 5:30 p.m., Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., or by appointment. For viewing hours and other details, call 212-729-4974.

THE HEBREW Home at Riverdale, located at 5901 Palisade Ave., presents the new exhibition, ‘Shana: My Muse/Assemblage Works by Alexandra Zizmor,’ which is now on display through Sunday, Jan. 10, 2010. For this special mixed media installation, Ms. Zizmor — a Riverdale resident — uses paint, ink, collage and found objects to depict a Great Dane performing various activities in a minimal stage-like setting. These whimsical assemblages reference the modern art masters, fashion styles, and leisure time activities. The artist chose to use her own Great Dane — named Shana — as the subject for her work in order to reflect the belief that dogs, more than any other animal, most closely resemble their human counterparts in behaviors and attitude. For more information, call 718-581-1596.
