Thefts at Bally’s
1.One or more robbers stole two purses from the women’s locker room at Bally’s Total Fitness, 298 W. 231st St., on Nov. 5, police said. Stolen items inside the bags included mobile devices, credit cards and cash. The crimes happened at 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., police said. No arrests have been made.
2. Electronics swiped
A thief broke into a 2005 Chevy Blazer and stole a number of electronics, including a laptop computer, a computer modem and various telecommunication tools, police said. The window- smashing perpetrator carried out the crime sometime between 5 p.m. on Nov. 3 and 7:30 a.m. on Nov. 4. in the 250 block of West 262nd Street. No arrests have been made.
3. Stolen items
A thief broke into a parked car and stole a range of Victoria’s Secret products about 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, police said. Among the items stolen from the car parked in front of 3 Dash Place: a sweater, leather jacket, shoes, a curling iron and a hair straightening product. No arrests have been made.
4. Teen arrested
Police arrested a 15-year-old boy they say snatched a cell phone from a person on Sedgwick Avenue Nov. 5, police said. The victim was walking home from school when the teen approached him from behind and ripped the phone from his hand about 3:20 p.m., police said.
5. Smash-and-grab
A smash-and-grab thief stole a wallet from inside a parked 1999 Chrysler on Sedgwick Avenue Nov. 4, police said. The thief broke the front passenger- side window of the car about noon. The wallet has not been recovered.
