Mambo 4 Haiti
Papo Pepin Productions will host its first Mambo 4 Haiti event, at a restaurant located at 115 Cedar St. in New Rochelle, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Percussionist Papo Pepin and his orchestra will perform his palladium-style mambo and his Latin jazz band will open the benefit. All donations will go to Doctors Without Borders. Joe Burgos and The Piel Canela Dance Co. will give coupons for dance lessons to those who donate more than $50. Additional entertainment, including guest speakers and performers, will be provided.
There will be complimentary sangria and a buffet.

Flea market
Schervier Apartments, located at 2995 Independence Ave., will host a flea market fundraiser to benefit the Apartments in its community room, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Profits will go toward tenant activities and charities the tenants choose to support.

Book talk
Renowned author and Riverdalian Ted Conover will read from his new book, The Routes of Man, and discuss his career as part of a benefit for the Riverdale Mental Health Association at the home of Andrew Meyers.
The event will begin at 7 p.m. and the cost to attend is $125, which includes a signed copy of Mr. Conover’s book.
