WAVE HILL, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, will host its next Family Art Project on Saturday and Sunday, June 6 and 7, from 1 to 4 p.m., in the Kerlin Learning Center. For this week’s activity, titled “Rolling Out the River,” visitors will first sketch Wave Hill’s expansive Hudson River vistas. Then, participants will put their colorful river views and visions into a portable panoramic paper movie scroll. This program is free with paid admission to Wave Hill, West 249th Street and Independence Avenue. For more information, call 718-549-3200.

THE RIVERDALE Library, at 5540 Mosholu Ave., presents the following upcoming programs for kids:

  • Baby Story Time, a special program for infants up to 18 months old, will be held on Thursdays, June 4 and 11, at 10:30 a.m. Babies and their parents can enjoy great books, as well as lively songs and fun rhymes.
  • The library presents Toddler Story Time, for children, between 18 months and 3 years old, on Tuesday, June 9, at 10:30 a.m. During this program, participants will enjoy interactive stories, action songs and finger plays, while interacting with other toddlers in the neighborhood. THE KINGSBRIDGE Library, at 280 W. 231st St., will host these upcoming events for kids:

  • Reading Aloud, for children ages 5 to 12, will be held on Thursdays, June 4 and 11, at 4 p.m.
  • On Friday, June 19 at 3:30 p.m., the library will host a Father’s Daythemed arts and crafts program, for ages 5 to 12. Space is limited and advance registration is required. These programs are free and open to the public. For more information or to register, call 718-548-5656.

THE SPUYTEN Duyvil Library, at 650 W. 235th St., will hold the following children’s programs during the upcoming week:

  • The library will hold Toddler Story Time, for children between the ages of 18 months and 3 years old, on Thursdays, June 4 and 11, at 10:30 a.m. During this program, participants can enjoy stories, songs and finger plays, while interacting with other toddlers. Tickets will be distributed before the program.
  • On Friday, June 5, at 4 p.m., the library will host a summertime arts and crafts program for ages 4 to 12. Preregistration is required to participate in this activity.
  • The library will host Reading Aloud, for ages 6 to 10, on Wednesday, June 10, at 4 p.m. All events are open to the public, free of charge. For more information or to register, call 718-796-1202.

THE VAN Cortlandt Library, located at 3874 Sedgwick Ave., will host “Flags For All Nations,” a special arts and crafts workshop for ages 6 to 12, on Tuesday, June 9, at 3 p.m. This program is free and open to the public. For more information, call 718-543-5150.

THE BRONX Library Center, located at 310 E. Kingsbridge Road, will host the following activities for children this week:

  • The center will host “Butterfly Boogie,” an educational program presented by the Wildlife Theater from the Central Park Zoo, today, Thursday, June 4, at 4 p.m. This special show, recommended for ages 4 to 10, will feature a heartwarming story about the relationship between a monarch butterfly and the plant that feeds him.
  • The center will present Game Day, for kids ages 5 to 12, on Friday, June 5, at 4 p.m. Participants will have the chance to play a variety of board games, including Connect 4, Uno, Checkers and Monopoly Jr., with other children and library staff members.
  • On Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m., the center will host the kids program, “How the Elephant Got its Trunk.” This special puppet show, presented by Talking Hands Theatre, is based on the story by Rudyard Kipling, set in Africa and accompanied by live African percussion.
  • Local children are invited to make their own fish-shaped books during a special arts and crafts workshop that will be held on Thursday, June 11, at 4 p.m. This activity is open to ages 7 to 12, but space is limited and preregistration is required.
