A pair of local travel soccer clubs will be holding tryouts for the fall season during the upcoming weeks.
The Riverdale Lions will conduct their tryouts in an academy atmosphere, with multiple dates scheduled over the next two weeks. Players are invited to participate in as many practices as possible, so they can experience what it is like to be a member of the team.
The Lions will be an Under-13 squad in the fall, so girls born after July 31, 1996 are eligible. Tryout date are as follows; Saturdays, June 6 and 13, from 8 to 10 a.m., at Baker Field, located at 218th Street and Broadway; Mondays, June 8 and 15, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., near the Horse Stables in Van Cortlandt Park; and Wednesdays, June 10 and 17, from 5:30 to 7 p.m., also at the Van Cortlandt Stables.
