Cub scouts

Cub Scout Pack 24 will hold an open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Riverdale Presbyterian Church, 4765 Henry Hudson Parkway, for boys and their families who are interested in joining the pack.

Pack 24 is open to boys ages 6 to 10.

Artists’ circle

Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, will host an open-air studio session on its garden grounds at 10 a.m.

Wave Hill will provide easels and drawing boards, but not paper, canvas, or media.

The program is open to artists at any skill level, and will end with a facilitated critique at noon.

The fee is $10 for members and $18 for nonmembers, and includes admission to the grounds.

The group is limited to 12 participants each week; registration is available at the Perkins Visitor Center, where participants should also meet the day of the session.

The artists’ circle will take place every Thursday in June, July, and August, weather permitting.
