Yoga in nature

Hatha and Therapeutic Yoga instructor Neem Dewji will lead yoga classes at 9:30 a.m. on the grounds of Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue.

Inclement weather will cancel the event.

To confirm if the event will be held, call 718-549-3200 ext. 245 by 8 a.m. the day of the session.

Participants should meet at the Perkins Visitor Center.

Preregistration is not required; the fee is $10 for members and $18 for nonmembers.

Ethical talk

Former Essex Society for Ethical Culture Leader James G. White will speak at the Riverdale-Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture, located at 4450 Fieldston Road, at 11 a.m.

Mr. White’s talk is entitled “We need each other — now more than ever.”

Mr. White is currently principal attorney for the Mental Hygiene Legal Service and is co-chair of the Congregations for Justice and Peace.

Music festival

Bronx Underground will host a free outdoor independent music festival at Orchard Beach in Pelham Bay Park from noon to 5 p.m.

The event will feature a variety of musical styles and acts from the Bronx and beyond. Genres range from indie rock to pop-punk, ska and Latin-influenced rock. Bands include A Moment’s Worth, Currents, Spider Nick and the Maddogs, Boom Box Repair Kit, Millsted and Two O’Clock Courage. It will also feature DJs, giveaways and more.
