THE AARP of Riverdale meets in the afternoon on the third Wednesday of each month, at the Riverdale Presbyterian Church, 4765 Henry Hudson Parkway West. Entertainment and lectures are offered along with business meetings. Call Manfred Segal at 718-549-0088.

THE AGING in America Senior Center, at Aging in America Community Services, 1500 Pelham Parkway, holds social dancing sessions every Monday, from 1 to 3 p.m. Seniors are invited to dance, socialize and make new friends. Call Maria Uzovich at 718-409-7971.

THE FORT Independence Senior Center, at 3350 Bailey Ave., West 234th Street level, offers a wide array of activities, including music, exercise, crocheting, dancing, pokeno, arts & crafts, cards, dominos, pool, trips and speakers. A complete lunch is served Monday through Friday, at noon. A social worker is available on Thursdays. Registration is free. For more information, call 718-796-2950.

THE HARRY and Dora Simon Senior Center of the Riverdale YM-YWHA, at 5625 Arlington Ave., offers numerous activities for people 60 and older, including language instruction, cards and games, exercise, meditation, tai chi, dancing, nutrition information, swimming, bingo, lectures, trips, creative writing, chorus, singing and drama workshops, quarterly talent shows, movies, knitting, painting classes, intergenerational opportunities, cooking, rap groups and bereavement support. A hot, freshly cooked kosher lunch is served Monday through Friday. During the fall and winter, the center serves hot soup every Monday. Transportation is available. Membership is free. JASA, VAN Cortlandt Senior Center, at 3880 Sedgwick Ave., features the following activities for seniors: Daily exercise, painting, discussion groups, knitting, line dancing, movies and more. Case assistance services are available. Kosher lunch is served at noon. Call 718-549-4700.

THE KINGSBRIDGE Heights Community Center, at 3101 Kingsbridge Terrace, is offering free ESL classes (English as a Second Language) as well as preparation courses for the citizenship exam. For further information or to get dates and times, call 718-884-0700 ext. 194.

THE MARBLE Hill Senior Center, at 5365 Broadway, features weekly arts and crafts, line dancing, exercise, creative writing, painting, discussion groups, sing-alongs, monthly birthday parties, music, academic lectures, trips and holiday celebrations. A hot, kosher lunch is served each day. For more information, call 718-562-8551.

MOSHOLU MONTEFIORE Senior Center, at 3450 DeKalb Ave. and Gun Hill Road, offers a wide variety of activities, including ceramics, sewing, exercise, bingo, computers and occasional trips, for adults, 60 and older. A hot, kosher lunch is served Monday through Friday. Everyday activities and lunch are available for a suggested donation of $1.50. R.A.I.N. Bailey Senior Center, at 2660 Bailey Ave., is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and offers a variety of activities for seniors ages 60 and over. Bingo, billiards, ping-pong and dominoes take place daily. Activities range from movies, line dancing, piano and poetry to needle designs, arts and crafts, exercise and teatime. There is a barber every Tuesday. Breakfast and lunch are served daily. Call Nancy or Gloria at 718-796-2559.

RIVERDALE SENIOR Center, at the Century building, 2600 Netherland Ave., features the following activities for adults 60 and older: The center offers a full array of educational, recreational and supportive services with a full-time certified social worker and parttime registered nurse. A hot lunch is served daily. Activities include the Big Apple Senior Strollers, exercise, dance, yoga, bereavement support groups, health promotion and trips. There is a social adult day care program for adults with memory loss. Transportation is available. The center is open Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 718-884- 5900 for more information or to register for a scheduled trip.

THE SENIOR Center at the YMYWHA of Washington Heights and Inwood, 54 Nagle Ave., is open Monday through Friday, and Sunday, for a variety of activities for all seniors, ages 60 and older. A kosher lunch is available with a suggested donation of $1.25. The center is closed on Saturdays and Jewish holidays. For more information, call Carmiya Weintraub at 212-569-5271 ext. 231.

ST. MARGARET’S Leisure Club meets from 1 to 2 p.m., the first and third Friday of every month, at St. Margaret’s Rectory, 6000 Riverdale Ave., at West 260th Street.
