Sunset poetry
Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, will host a writing workshop, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
This first session of a four-part series is entitled “At the Intersection of Urban and Rural: Writing from our Surroundings.”
Participants will engage with the landscape, generate new poems and take part in poetic play, with poet Rachel M. Simon. Both beginning and experienced writers are welcome.
The fee for all four sessions is $90 for members; $125 nonmembers. Single sessions cost $25 for members; $35 for nonmembers. The series continues on Wednesdays July 8, July 15 and July 29.

Vocal ensemble
The Hudson River Museum, located at 511 Warburton Ave. in Yonkers will host “Sing We Enchanted,” a Westchesterbased vocal ensemble, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
The group will celebrate Henry Hudson with songs of rivers, streams and the sea.
Admission costs $5 for adults, $3 for children and seniors 62 and older. Members are admitted free and free refreshments follow every program.
