Toastmasters Club

The Bronx Toastmasters Club invites new members to attend its next meetings at Riverdale Neighborhood House, 5521 Mosholu Ave., at 7:30 p.m.

The Toastmasters Club is dedicated to helping its members listen effectively, think on their feet, and speak with confidence. The club meets on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month.

Sunset Wednesday

Wave Hill will host Sunset Wednesdays on the grounds, at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue. There will be free tastings of New York State wines, goods on sale from local farmers and food purveyors and poetry workshops. Reservations are also available for a prix-fixe dinner at sunset on the Wave Hill Café terrace.

This week, wines from North Fork on Long Island will be available, as well as honey from Wave Hill beekeeper Roger Repohl. Sunset Wednesdays will be held every Wednesday throughout the summer.

The grounds will be open until 8:30 p.m. and the café and shop until 8 p.m.
