Wave Hill, West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, will host a special four-session Beading Workshop, beginning on Tuesday, July 7, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in Wave Hill House.
Participants will use natural semi-precious stones, wooden beads and seeds to create unique, hand-crafted jewelry that is perfect for gift-giving. During each of the four meetings, jewelry designer Bonnie Rodgers will introduce a different technique, including basic beading, crimping, knotting and wire-working. A finished piece will be made at each meeting.
The next three sessions will be held on Tuesdays, July 14, 21 and 28, also from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. All necessary materials will be supplied. These workshops are open to the public, but advance reservations are required.
The fee to participate in all four sessions is $215 per person or $160 for Wave Hill members, and $60 per person or $45 for members, to take part in a single session. For more information or to register, call 718-549-3200 ext. 305.
