Murder in Marble Hill: Five shots fell incredulous victim

William Rivera, 21, became the third person to meet a violent death in the 50th Precinct this year when he was shot to death in a courtyard adjacent to 2831 Exterior Street at 6:28 p.m., on March 4, police said.

The Brooklyn resident, who was shot in the torso and leg, was pronounced dead on arrival at St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx shortly thereafter, police said.

“You could hear the five shots ring throughout the yard,” a witness wrote to The Riverdale Press in an e-mail. “And it took the police 20 minutes to get here.”
