Armed robbery

1. Police say a 22-year-old man was robbed at 1 p.m. at 3820 Waldo Ave. on March 12 by two other men in their 20’s, one of which was carrying a fire arm. The second perpetrator without a gun took $40 in cash from the victim when the victim was entering his apartment building. The case is open to detectives.

2. Burglary

An unarmed person entered the SNS Cheesecake Company, located at West 238th Street, at 7:15 a.m. on March 10 and removed $22,000 in cash by breaking through the eatery’s dry wall, according to police. The burglary case is still open to police.

3. Graffiti

After spray painting the word “monkey” on a pillar for the number 1 train at the northwest corner of Broadway and West 228th Street, police say a 17-year-old boy was arrested for graffiti and criminal mischief of a property on March 11 at 6:30 p.m. The boy, a Bronx resident, caused damage to the pillar totaling less than $250. 

4. Reckless endangerment

Police say a 47-year-old man was pulled over by police at 5987 Broadway on March 10 at 12:30 a.m. after police observed the man driving his 2004 Mitsubishi Suburban recklessly and committing many traffic offenses. The man was arrested after the incident and charged with reckless endangerment. 

5. Grand Larceny

A 20-year-old man was walking home from Lehman College at 117 West 197th Street on March 10 at 3:30 p.m. when he was approached by two 16-year-old boys who asked for the time and if they could call their moms, according to police. The boys then grabbed the victim’s MyTouch slide cell phone, worth $230, and his iPod, worth $100, and fled to 195th Street, where they were identified to police by the victim. The phone and iPod were returned and the two minors were arrested and charged with grand larceny.
