A bizarre streak of robberies came to an end on Monday when the suspect turned herself in, according to police.

They said Christina Teifer, 29, turned herself in after attempting yet another robbery, targeting the 5671 Riverdale Ave. Citibank, on Saturday. She had allegedly robbed the 5656 Riverdale Ave. Chase Bank on May 20, then the 3775 Riverdale Ave. Chase Bank on May 24.

In each of the incidents, police said, Ms. Teifer asked a teller for ten $100 bills without showing a weapon or making any threats.

Ms. Teifer faces two counts each of robbery, grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

Police said prior to Saturday, Ms. Teifer had two other unsuccessful attempted robberies — at the 5581 Broadway Chase Bank on May 24 and at a Capital One Bank on March 24. She faces attempted robbery charges for each of those incidents.

There have been 57 total robberies so far this year, according to NYPD stats, an increase of about 27 percent compared to the same timeframe last year.
