Bessie Bronstein Opolen worked for ed board

Bessie Bronstein Opolen of Riverdale passed away on Feb. 24. She was born in the Bronx and lived there for her entire 103 years. Ms. Opolen worked for the New York City Board of Education, where she retired in 1966.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry, who was a New York City Police Detective.
Ms. Opolen had many relatives and friends who predeceased her. She is survived by her nieces and nephews.
Her funeral service was at the I.J. Morris Funeral Home. Her family described her as a woman who was loved by all who knew her.
