Chamber music series begins
A new chamber music series will begin its inaugural season on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. at Conservative Synagogue Adath Israel of Riverdale, 475 W. 250th St. The first concert will include works by Haydn, Ravel and Smetana. The musicians in the group have performed all over the world, both as soloists and members of ensembles, including the New York Philharmonic. The series is sponsored by both CSAIR and the Riverdale Y and is intended to give audiences a taste of chamber music in a relaxed setting, according to an announcement from CSAIR. The Saturday, Nov. 7 performance will be followed by others in January and March.
