The Bronx River Art Center, located at 1087 E. Tremont Ave., will host a special closing reception and artist talk for its “DIALECTS v.3” exhibition, on Saturday, March 20, from 3:30 to 5 p.m.

This installation, the third in a series of four separate side-byside solo exhibitions pairing local artists with foreign-born, New York-based artists, features new site-specific works created by Bronx artist Blanka Amezkua and Croatian artist Dario Solman.

Ms. Amezkua’s showcase, titled “Interminable recurrence in my mind,” highlights the various aesthetic motifs that have constantly paralleled her projects over the last fifteen years, including organic patterns painted on the wall, abstract crocheted compositions, and an extensive suite of doodles. Mr. Solman presents a selection from his ongoing project “The Heart of Perspective, the Making of the Film,” which features a combination of animations, drawings and soundscapes that offer fragmental inquiries into issues of power, conformity and individuality.
