A Dashown Wilson Jr. rushing touchdown and a two-point conversion were enough for the Governors (6-0) to remain one of two unbeaten teams in the PSAL City Conference. Clinton had two touchdowns called back because of holding penalties on Friday night, but Chauncey Murray had an interception and Jordan Pedroza recovered a fumble for a defense that has allowed only 61 points in six games.

Edward Nunez rushed for 131 yards on 10 carries and had two tackles for a loss, including a sack, on defense.

The Governors play host to Thomas Jefferson Campus (2-4) at noon on Saturday.

Canarsie Educational Campus 27, Kennedy campus 6

The Knights (3-3) lost their second in a row after turning the ball over three times on Sunday in Brooklyn. Kennedy campus visits Flushing (4-2) at noon on Saturday.

Jack Upton scored on a seven-yard touchdown run and then Jake Godosky hit Sam Millstein in the front corner of the end zone for the go-ahead two-point conversion in the fourth quarter on Saturday in New Jersey for the Eagles (4-1), who finished 3-1 in the inaugural season of the Metropolitan Independent Football League.

Kyle Axelrod returned a kickoff 60 yards to Pennington’s 21-yard line to set up the winning score, and Godosky had two touchdown runs in the third quarter. 

Fieldston will play host to Ardsley (6-0) at 3 p.m. on Saturday.

Horace Mann 31, Dalton 19

The Lions improved to 5-0 on Saturday and will play host to Dwight-Englewood (N.J.) at 2 p.m. this Saturday.

Riverdale, which plays host to Pennington at 4 p.m. on Saturday, fell to 1-5 on the season.
