Masked assailants rob jogger

1. Four men wearing ski masks have attacked and robbed a 15-year-old jogger in Vinmont Veterans Park, according to police.

Police said the victim was running on Riverdale Avenue Nov. 29 at about 11:15 p.m. when he noticed four men following him and decided to run into the park.

The four perpetrators, one of them wielding a knife, surrounded the teen and warned him not to resist, police said.

According to the police report, the assailants began punching and kicking the victim before taking his iPhone 6S, worth $650.

This case is open to detectives.

Juice bar hit by thief

2. The Fusion Juice Bar and Grill, a restaurant that opened last year, was taken for its computer in the middle of the day, according to police.

Video surveillance showed a man walk into the restaurant at around 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, round the counter and make off with a Mac Pro, which the proprietors used to complete transactions.

The reporter, a 26-year-old employee, told police he did not see the perpetrator steal the $2,500 machine.

This case is open to detectives.

Ransacking home, burglars take only a ring

3. A burglar broke into a woman’s apartment, ransacked it and left with only a white metal ring.

Police say it happened around midday on Dec. 4, when an unknown perpetrator broke into the 54-year-old woman’s home at 95 W. 195th St. through the fire escape.

When the victim returned home, her apartment was in disarray, but all that had been taken was her ring, listed at $4,000.

This case is open to investigation.

Credit card stolen at gym

4. A patron of Blink Fitness, a gym at 5220 Broadway, had his locker broken into and credit card stolen while working out, according to police.

They said the 17-year-old left his card in a locker secured by a padlock, but the thief cut the lock and made off with the man’s credit card on Dec. 4 at around 4:30 p.m.

Before the victim could disable the card, a charge was made at Popeye’s fast food chain up the street on Broadway.

Police have not been able to apprehend the suspect, but this case remains open to detectives.

Man bust with drugs, fake firearm

5. Police say they arrested a man in possession of marijuana and an imitation firearm on Dec. 1.

They said they observed the suspect idling at the corner of the Henry Hudson Parkway and W. 246th Street, ran his plates and saw they did not match the car.

Police approached the vehicle and saw a small zip lock bag of marijuana and an imitation pistol.

Upon arrest, police also discovered that the suspect, 32, had a suspended license.  This case is closed due to arrest.
