Democrats have gone too far to the left

I would like to respond to the article in the Aug. 4 edition entitles “NW Bronx politicians praise DNC.” I was a lifelong Democrat who voted for President Obama in 2008. The party, with its far left-wing platform, has left me. Two examples are its embrace of the anti-police “Black Lives Matter” movement and its support for the Iran Nuclear Deal, which Israel opposes.

In the article, Congressman Engel and Assemblyman Dinowitz (both whom I’ve voted for in the past) stated that they were happy and proud to be Hillary delegates. Do they realize that she supports the far-left agenda? Personally, I believe that “All Lives Matter,” but I would be called a “racist” for saying that. Concerning Israel, do they realize that Hillary’s running mate, Senator Kaine, walked off the Senate floor in protest of Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech and position on the Iran uclear Deal? I don’t understand how these two politicians, who have life-long records in support of “equal” rights and of support for the State of Israel, can support a candidate that caters different views.

I’m not advocating a vote for Donald trump, but I cannot support Hillary in good conscience. It may be time to “sit one out!”
