Girl Scouts launch cookie, book drive

On Sunday, March 8 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., North Riverdale Girl Scout Troop 1477 will hold their sixth annual Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sale at Stop & Shop in Riverdale on Broadway. 

The scouts are working on their Silver Award Projects. One of the scouts, Maya Bliffeld, will have a book drive during the booth sale. Maya is building a library in Guatemala for her Silver Award Project. Please help her by donating paperback books for children from preschool to adults.  The Girl Scouts will be at Stop & Shop from 10-2.
