Hebew Home a trusted non-profit

Posted

To the editor,

I have known the Hebrew Home and their compassionate staff for 60 years. My grandmother, father and in-laws were all cared for at the Hebrew Home, and my wife has been a volunteer there for the last eight years. The Hebrew Home is non-profit organization with the sole focus of caring for the aged. They are not a big, anonymous corporation, yet your article depicts them with “malice” (“Made to order rules for Hebrew Home draw angry reaction,” Nov. 5).

I am 85 years old and know that if I need help as I age, the Hebrew Home will be the first and only organization I call. My wife and I welcome a retirement community in Riverdale. The Hebrew Home wrote the book on quality care in their nursing home. I can only imagine the outstanding job they will do for retirees. The only one of its kind in New York City. Created by the Hebrew Home, a trusted local organization for nearly 100 years. I have just three words on the subject. Sign me up!
