Hebrew Home’s expansion will be a boon

To the editor,

I am happy to read of the progress of the Hebrew Home at Riverdale’s continuing care retirement community (“Hebrew Home plans big expansion,” May 19). It is clear that the Hebrew Home has been transparent and receptive to many requests of community members since this project was envisioned. The Hebrew Home has always been a good neighbor, caring for thousands of frail and elderly men and women, not to make money, but as a non-profit fulfilling its mission of care.

As a longtime Riverdalian in my 80s, my wife and I are grateful to have choices for our care as we age. Having a CCRC in Riverdale is good for the City of New York, good for Riverdale and good for seniors like me who may need it in the years to come.
