BERNIE’S NEW York presents “Forgotten by Time,” a public walking tour of Brooklyn Heights, on Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 p.m. Participants will stroll through this neighborhood, which overlooks New York Harbor and lower Manhattan, and learn more about the historic buildings, streets and alleys that pre-date the Civil War. Highlights of the tour include stops at the Plymouth Church, the former homes of Truman Capote and Norman Mailer, a variety of Federal, Greek and Italianate style homes, coal chute covers, the Moonstruck house and more. The tour costs $15 per person and reservations are not required. Participants should meet at the northwest corner of Clark and Henry streets, in Brooklyn. For more information, call 718-655-1883.
