Israel: the only Mid East democracy

To the editor: 

I am writing this letter to support the opinions of previous letters by Alvin Gordon (“About Islam as ‘religion of peace’”) and Sara Lord (“Pro-Israel factions at Black Lives Matter? Poppycock!”). Both of these opinions are right in so many respects. What I can’t figure out is why most Riverdalians still support the Democratic Party! This is not the party of Franklin Roosevelt and John Kennedy who held views protecting our country from enemies and rewarding and supporting Israel. I’ll bet most voters do not known that Hillary’s running mate actually boycotted Benjamin Netanyahu’s speech to the U.S. Congress! As far as “Black Lives Matter,” it implies a racist connotation. Does that mean that “White lives don’t”? 

Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East and deserves our strongest support as our ally against “radical Islam”!
