Montefiore article was biased against union

To the editor:

Your story “Law to limit Montefiore is repealed” (April 9) mentions the state legislature, Montefiore Medical Center, Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz, state Sen. Jeff Klein, the Simone Development Companies and 1199SEIU. Yet only the labor union do you call “powerful.”

Is 1199 really more powerful than the state legislature, Montefiore, Simone and our local politicians? Or is it, rather, that The Press approves of the power of politicians and multi-billion dollar corporations, but not of organizations that advocate for moderate-income workers?

Unfortunately, The Press is not the only media outlet guilty of this bias. But that does not make it any less of a bias.
