Mount treasurer Elkeshk honored by City Council

Abed Elkeshk, treasurer and executive vice president of the College of Mount Saint Vincent, was honored by the New York City Council on July 13 as part of this year’s Arab American Cultural Celebration.

The Arab American Cultural Celebration recognizes exceptional and accomplished Arab Americans in the city. Mr. Elkeshk was one of nine individuals to receive the honor.

An accomplished college graduate in the city and abroad, Mr. Elkeshk is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the EIHAB Human Services organization, a nonprofit multicultural organization dedicated to helping people of all ages with mental and behavioral disabilities. Mr. Elkeshk is also the treasurer and member of the board of the Egyptian American Community Foundation and a member of the board of the Egyptian Cultural Center.

“I am deeply honored and humbled to be recognized along with such an accomplished group of individuals by the New York City Council,” Mr. Elkeshk said in a press release.
