A student at the Marie Curie School for Medicine, Nursing and Health Professions at 12 W. 231st St., was stabbed on Monday after an altercation with another student, according to police. They said the two 18-year-old women were engaged in a fight on the fifth floor bathroom of the school. After the fight was broken up, the victim told police that she felt a sharp pain in her left leg and arm. At an unknown time during the fight, the defendant allegedly stabbed the victim three times in the left thigh and once in the left arm. The victim went to the hospital for treatment and the defendant was arrested. The second-degree assault case is closed to detectives.
2. Theft via window
3601 Johnson Ave.
Bronx, NY
Authorities said a 38-year-old woman’s MacBook was stolen out of her apartment at 3601 Johnson Ave. on March 12. The victim told police that she left her laptop in her bedroom at 1:30 p.m. When she returned later in the day, her bedroom window was open and her laptop was gone. The burglary case is open to detectives.
3. Marijuana arrest
Fieldston Road and West 262nd Street
Bronx, NY
Police said they observed a 24-year-old man walking at the northeast corner of Fieldston Road and West 262nd Street around 2:30 p.m. on March 8. He reportedly was smoking a cigarette that had trace amounts of marijuana. After further questioning, police arrested the defendant and charged him with criminal possession of marijuana. The case is closed due to arrest.
4. Accord stolen
3104 Netherland Ave.
Bronx, NY
A 43-year-old male reported that his car was stolen on March 8 in the evening. According to police, the man parked his 2008 Honda Accord in front of 3104 Netherland Ave. and left his keys in the car. When he returned, the vehicle, valued at $3,100, was gone. A canvas of the area produced negative results. The case is closed to investigation by the detective squad.
5. Asleep at the wheel
West 240th Street and Corlear Avenue
Bronx, NY
Police said they observed a man, 38, asleep at the wheel of his car on the corner of West 240th Street and Corlear Avenue on March 13 at 3:30 a.m. When they approached the driver of the 2011 Audi, they smelled a strong odor of alcohol on his breath. The defendant was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated and the case is closed.
