1. Robbery on Broadway

Police said three males robbed a 34-year-old man in front of 6560 Broadway on Nov. 1 around 6 a.m.

The perpetrators reportedly stopped the victim and told him to hand over his wallet. A fight ensued, with the suspects, all Hispanic, taking the man’s backpack along with $43 in merchandise. It was not clear whether the victim suffered any serious injuries.

The robbery case is still open to detectives.

2. Larceny at Local

An unknown suspect stole $362 in merchandise from a woman’s purse on Oct. 29 at 1 a.m. at The Local, a bar at 171 W. 231st St., according to police.

The 45-year-old victim said $80 in cash, a wallet, phone charger and other items were stolen from her while she wasn’t looking.

The larceny case remains open to detectives.

3. Deegan DWI

On Oct. 29 around 4:40 a.m., police observed a man, about 29 years old, swerving between lanes in a 1995 GMC Sierra at the intersection of Van Cortlandt Park West and the Major Deegan Expressway. 

When the man was stopped, officers reported he smelled strongly of alcohol. A Breathalyzer test found he had a blood-alcohol level of .207.

The driver was arrested and the case is closed to detectives.

4. Drunk driver cuffed

Police said on Sunday at 1 a.m., 41-year-old male sped past police officers in an undercover vehicle.

After the driver was stopped in front of 3146 Kingsbridge Terrace, he measured .107 on a blood-alcohol test. 

The suspect was arrested and the case is closed to detectives.

5. Rude awakening

Authorities said on Nov. 2 between 11:30 a.m. and noon, a 48-year-old male awoke to find an unknown intruder in his 2780 Kingsbridge Terrace bedroom. 

The burglar presumably entered the residence by pushing an air conditioning unit through a window and into the victim’s living room, then climbing in. 

When the victim awoke, the perpetrator fled the apartment before any property could be taken.

The case remains open to detectives.
