Music on film

Martha Argerich will be the subject of this month’s edition of “Music on Film” at 7:30 p.m. at the Riverdale-Yonkers Society for Ethical Culture, located at 4450 Fieldston Road.

The event will include recordings showing performance and reminiscence of Ms. Argerich in conversation and performance.

Family art

Wave Hill, located at West 249th Street and Independence Avenue, presents a family art project, “River Masquerade/ Celebrando el río Hudson river masquerage,” from 1 to 4 p.m.

Participants can fashion a mask or costume to become a river-dwelling creature and wear their creations in a parade of river life celebrating the Hudson.

The program is free with paid admission to the grounds.
