1. Duo robs teen

Police said two men robbed a 19-year-old male on Oct. 15 between 6 and 6:40 p.m. on the corner of Irwin Avenue and West 238th Street. 

They stole the victim’s credit and debit cards, headphones and an Apple iPhone. A 19-year-old white male suspect was arrested and the case remains open to detectives while seeking the other perpetrator.

2. King’s Wok robbed

Authorities said a man robbed King’s Wok Chinese Restaurant, at 6659 Broadway between 10 and 10:15 p.m. on Sunday. The suspect, who wore a mask, entered the store with a knife and demanded money. 

It was not clear how much money, if any, he stole.

There were no injuries and the case is still open to detectives.

3. Liebig Avenue break-in

Police reported a burglary at a private residence at 5908 Liebig Ave., between 10:30 a.m. and 10 p.m. on Monday.

The victim, a 42-year-old female, said she came home to find her bathroom window smashed and basement door unlocked and ajar. 

Nothing seems to have been taken, but the case is still open to detectives.

4. Explorer looted

A person stole about $1,000 worth of merchandise from the inside of a vehicle parked in front of 4535 Jerome Ave. between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 17, according to police.

The victim, a 36-year-old woman, told police the rear window of her 2004 Ford Escape was broken and a tool belt, De Walt electric screwdriver, hammer and toolbox had been taken from the vehicle. 

The case remains open to detectives.

5. Vehicle vandalized

Police said on midnight around Oct. 17, someone broke into a 2015 Nissan Altima parked inside a parking garage at 5800 Arlington Ave. 

The victim, a 65-year-old woman, said she came to her car to find that someone had entered and smashed her navigation system. She told police that the doors may have been unlocked, but the garage had no security cameras. 

The criminal mischief case is closed.
