THE RIVERDALE Library, at 5540 Mosholu Ave., will host the following programs for young adults this week:

  • Indian art tradition will meet New York style during the special library program “NakhaChitra: Create Art with your Fingernails,” which will take place today, Thursday, Nov. 5, at 4 p.m. During this event, NakhaChitra master Suhas will show participants how to create embossed art using just their fingernails and paper. This program is for ages 12 to 18 and all necessary materials will be provided.
  • “Tuesday Teen Takeover,” a new weekly program for ages 12 to 18, will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 4 p.m. Participants will have the chance to play various board games, use laptop computers and show off their skills on the Nintendo Wii while competing in video game tournaments. THE KINGSBRIDGE Library, at 280 W. 231st St., will hold its next Teen Advisory Group meeting on Friday, Nov. 6, at 4 p.m. All young adults between the ages of 12 and 18 are welcome to attend and have the opportunity to earn community service credit for school. The meeting will provide a forum for teens to propose events and programs for their local library and the chance to talk about their favorite books, songs, movies, magazines and Web sites.
