Thanks from Marble Hill's barber

Posted

To the Marble Hill community:

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support in campaigning to keep Marble Hill Unisex Barber Shop open. On Friday, June 15, I will be in this community for 54 years.

Without the generous support of the community (online and offline) through facebook, prayers and petitions, I would not be here today. I am so blessed and fortunate to have a business in such a caring and compassionate community.

I would love nothing more than to thank each person individually. However, I would be remiss if I did not give a special thank you to the following perons:

Rev. Nathaniel Dixon (pastor at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church), Rev. J. Kloren Russell (Goodwill BC and the Greater Universal BC), Rep. Charles Rangel, state Sen. Adriano Espaillat, Councilman Ydanis Rodriguez, Councilwoman Inez Dickens, Community Board 8, Mr. Maurice “Tony” Edwards,” Mr. Edmar Flores, Ms. Paulette Shomo, Mr. Chris Riley, Mr. Markell Spivey, Mr. Troy Outlaw, members of Marble Hill 225, The Riverdale Press and the News 12 Bronx team.

And a very special thank you to Mr. Paul Ellis, esq. and Mr. Sergio Marquez, esq.

Roosevelt ‘Rosey’ Spivey
