1. Sedan stolen

Police said a 1998 Acura Integra was stolen from in front of 3985 Saxon Ave. between Jan. 14 at 2 p.m. and the following day at 4 p.m.

The victim, a 52-year-old woman, said after parking her car, she returned to find nothing but a pile of broken glass.

No witnesses or cameras were present, and the case is closed to detectives.

2. Car’s contents stolen

Sometime between 12 p.m. and 3:10 p.m. on Jan. 14 at the corner of the Henry Hudson Parkway and West 250th Street, an unknown suspect broke in to a 41-year-old man’s 2005 Honda Odyssey, according to police. 

The perpetrator reportedly broke in through the front passenger window and took the victim’s ThinkPad laptop, valued at $1,500. 

The grand larceny case remains open to detectives.

3. Sunday burglary

Police said between 8 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, a 60-year-old woman’s home at 5758 Faraday Ave. was burglarized.

The victim told police that while she was out having dinner, unknown perpetrators entered her home and took $5,500 in jewelry. 

Officers said she was not sure how the burglar got inside.

The case is still open to detectives.

4. Wheels stolen

A woman discovered two passenger-side wheels stolen from her 2009 Infiniti G37 at the corner of Independence Avenue and West 246th Street on Jan. 15 at 7:30 a.m.

The wheels are valued at $1,300, and the grand larceny case remains open to detectives. 

5. Bank burglary fails

An unknown suspect unsuccessfully tried to burglarize the Apple Bank at 3552B Johnson Ave. on Monday, according to police.

They said the perpetrator tried entering the bank from the back entrance at 4 a.m., to no avail.  The suspect reportedly found another, unknown entrance to the bank but took nothing. Apple Bank told police the suspect caused $500 in damages to the door.

The attempted burglary case remains open to detectives.
