Three cheers for Le Chic Salon

To the Editor:

Your article celebrating Le Chic Salon on Thursday, Sept. 25 was of great interest to me since I am a longtime senior client of this establishment. One reason why I am such a satisfied customer is the presence and creativity of my colorist, Georgia Mandelos. Ms. Mandelos has been with Le Chic for the past 20 years and is beloved by staff and clients alike for her attentiveness and kindness to all. 

In addition, Ms. Mandelos, who is originally an immigrant from Greece, learned her skills at hair salons in Athens and in London. Her ability at coloring and cutting hair is especially beneficial to us older members of the Riverdale community who need her skills and expertise. 

Ms. Mandelos also has a loving husband of some 45 years and two successful children. She is a shining example of the benefits brought to us in the U.S. by our diverse overseas communities. For myself, I can only say that diversity has enriched my life here in Riverdale and in the U.S. Thank you to Georgia for keeping me youthful.
