1. Man robs trio

Police said the superintendent of 699 W. 239th St. and two others were robbed by an unknown man on Sept. 24 around 2:30 p.m.

They said a roughly 6-foot Hispanic male in his 40s weighing around 150 pounds asked the super to use the bathroom in the apartment building. When the super, age 70, let him in, the suspect pushed him and two others into the building and displayed a silver handgun.

As the suspect removed money and cell phones from the victims, the super tried to fight off the robber. The man then struck the super on the head with the gun.

The other victims were both males, age 40 and 45, respectively. The robber stole a total of $5,604 in cash, a Samsung phone worth about $400 and a flip phone from the group. The suspect then fled toward the rear of the building.

A police report did not state whether the super went to the hospital. The case remains open to detectives.

2. Early A.M. robber scared off

A 57-year-old man told police he awoke inside his 6155 Tyndall Ave. home around 6 a.m. on Sept. 27 to find an unknown male standing by his dresser.

When the victim yelled, the intruder fled through a balcony door. It appeared he had entered through a bathroom window on the second floor of the house.

The suspect exited without stealing anything, but police found his cell phone on the bathroom window.

The case is still open to detectives.

3. Motorcycle missing

Police said after a 34-year-old man parked his motorcycle at the corner of Tibbett Avenue and West 232nd Street around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 23, he returned to find it missing the following day.

The black Honda CBR, which had a wheel lock, was valued at $3,000.

The case remains open to detectives.

4. Theft by checkbook

Authorities said a 33-year-old male wrote himself a check with another person’s checkbook at 332 W. 234th St. on Sept. 22 around 1 p.m.

The suspect, who police described as the son of the building’s landlord, entered the 36-year-old female victim’s apartment, took her checkbook and wrote himself a $250 check.

The suspect was later arrested on charges of burglary, petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property.

5. Car vandalized

Police said an unknown suspect caused about $250 in damage to a 33-year-old woman’s vehicle while it was parked opposite 3512 Cambridge Ave. on Sept. 25. The incident was reported around 6:30 p.m. that day.

The victim’s brown 2015 Ford Explorer had scratches all over it. A nearby camera had footage of a “subject of interest” to police, but the tape did not show exactly what the person was doing around the time of the vandalism.

The criminal mischief case remains open to detectives.
