Toastmasters club

Bronx Toastmasters club invites new members to join its meeting at 7:30 p.m. at The Riverdale Neighborhood House, 5521 Mosholu Ave.

The club aims to teach participants how to listen effectively, think on their feet and speak confidently. These leadership skills are taught in a supportive, non-intimidating environment, organizers say.

The group meets every second and fourth Wednesday of the month.

Benefits help

Social Security Administration representatives will be at Congressman Eliot Engel’s Bronx office, located at 3655 Johnson Ave., throughout the day.

They will help answer questions and/or discuss issues concerning social security benefits.

The service is by appointment only and takes place monthly.
