To the editor:
There is now a very disturbing trend in America of white people calling the police on African-Americans for doing ordinary things like everybody else. Bob Marley’s granddaughter leaving an Airbnb with her luggage, a Yale student falling asleep in a common dorm area, a Philadelphia Starbucks for men waiting on a business associate to arrive and using the bathroom while they waited, to name just a few.
This I know for sure: The police would not have been called except for the color of the victims’ skin.
If this climate continues, the next offense the police will be called to arrest African-Americans for committing is BWB — breathing while black.
