A 50-year-old male had his vehicle stolen from a car wash in front of 303 W. 230th St. on July 1 at 1:15 p.m., according to police.

The man was picking up his 2011 Subaru Outback from the car wash when an unknown male, whose description was not reported, jumped into the car, which had the door open and the keys in the ignition.

The case remains under investigation.

2. Robbed at knifepoint

Police said a 31-year-old man was robbed at 3152 Albany Crescent on July 3 at 1:30 a.m.

After parking his car, the victim was walking on the sidewalk while putting information into his phone. He put his phone away, but felt a tug on his shirt from behind. He turned around and said, “Get off of me.”

However, the perpetrator, a 5-foot-10, African-American man, threatened the victim with a knife and said, “Just give me everything.” The victim handed the perpetrator his iPhone 4 and wallet, which contained $100, multiple credit cards and his Social Security card.

Another man, whose description was not reported, was standing 15 feet away and shouted at the perpetrator, “Let’s go!” The two ran off and headed northbound towards West 234th Street. The case is still open to detectives.

3. Apartment burglarized

On July 3, an unknown burglar entered the apartment of a 22-year-old Hispanic woman and stole several items, according to authorities.

The burglar went into the apartment on 2830 Sedgwick Ave., unnoticed and through a side window in a bedroom.

He took $8,000, a $2,500 chain, a ring worth $3,000 and a pair of earrings valued at $4,000.

There were cameras at the location and they caught the burglar exiting through the front door. Police continue to investigate the crime.

4. Saab slashed

Police are investigating a case of criminal mischief on July 3 on the southwest corner of Edsall and Palisades avenues.

A 36-year-old Asian woman left her grey 1999 Saab Convertible parked on June 29, but when she returned four days later at 7 p.m., found the top of her car slashed.

There is no video or description of the perpetrator. The case remains open to detectives.

5. Bet turns violent

On July 4 at 2:30 a.m., two men sustained injuries after getting into an altercation with another man over a bet, according to police.

The two men, one 25, the other 27, were hanging out in front of 249 W. 231st St. and made a bet with the suspect. Details of the bet are unknown.

While making the wager, the suspect repeatedly hit the victims with his closed fist, causing an injury to the left eye of one of them and an injury to the forehead of the other.

The suspect then fled eastbound on West 231st Street. Police continue to investigate the altercation.
