CB8 story falls short on objectivity

I applaud the work of journalists, and this includes our local reporters.

However, your recent coverage of the community board falls short on objectivity, and distracts from the key concerns facing our community.

Several recent issues, culminating in your article and editorial on the board’s need to rent a large meeting space for a public hearing, leaves me with the impression that your reporting on certain matters is not impartial. From blowing up non-issues such as the process used for a meeting space, bashing our hardworking and dedicated chair (I counted “Ginty” stated 19 times in this one article), to your uneven selection of photos to portray certain people, I am losing trust in our local paper.

The price of lost trust in journalism is far higher than the price of a meeting room.

What’s up?
