Consider cyclists everywhere

Regarding the Feb. 22 story about the closing of the walkway on the Henry Hudson Bridge, why not take this opportunity to improve access for all users of the bridge by widening to safely accommodate pedestrians and cyclists?

If we are going to lose access for a long period of time, why not come out with a positive for all users?

We have been lobbying for years to get improved bicycle and pedestrian access as part of the Hudson River Valley Greenway. Improving access on the Henry Hudson Bridge presents the most environmentally sensitive option.

The motor vehicle always seems to get priority, and that is the least environmentally conscious option.
