David Blumenthal dies at age 97

David Blumenthal, a former Riverdale resident, died on Jan. 14, at Heritage at Framingham, an assisted-living facility in Framingham, Mass. He was 97.

Mr. Blumenthal lived in Riverdale up until eight years ago when he moved to Massachusetts to be closer to his family.

He is survived by his daughter, Frances Peters and her husband Harvey of Sudbury, Mass.; his brothers, Hyman Blumenthal and Edward Blumenthal, both of Florida; grandchildren Joshua and Suzanne Peters; great-grandchild Eva Isadora Peters-Hernandez; and nephew and niece Jeffrey and Andrea Fishbein. 

Services were held on Jan. 16, at Old Montefiore Cemetery, in Queens.
