Don't mess up Broadway

(re: “Residents: Kappock St. safety fixes just achieve the opposite,” Oct. 5)

I am a resident of North Riverdale who frequently uses public transportation, drives, and enjoys walking through the neighborhood. I reside on Broadway where the proposed traffic changes will take effect.

I am completely against the proposed traffic change plan. I believe the Broadway corridor is fine, with the exception of adding a few more traffic lights.

I wish our elected officials and the transportation department would listen to the residents on Broadway so that they won’t do to us what was done to the residents on Kappock Street in South Riverdale. 

Specifically on Kappock, the transportation department adjusted the traffic patterns and created a nightmare for the residents.
