Exit 23 is dangerous

Posted

To the editor:

How many times do motorists slam into the signs and lights at Exit 23 at North Henry Hudson Parkway?

Each week, there are downed signs because of poor engineering at this exit.

Exit speed is 15. Motorists have less than 10 seconds to slow down and make the dangerous curve off the exit.

DOT must have a separate fund for the constant repairs needed each week. This exit needs a re-engineering so the curve is less sharp.

Perhaps closing the entrance at the same place and widening the curve would make it safer for all.
