Police said a 39-year-old man was robbed by three men on July 6. 

The victim was walking home at 9 p.m. when he was stopped by the robbers on the northeast corner of Sedgwick Avenue and West 229th Street. The perpetrators demanded the victim’s wallet and phone, while repeatedly hitting him. 

The victim suffered lacerations to the lip, forehead and the neck. 

The perps took the man’s cellphone, valued at $749, Sony headphones, worth $20, and his wallet, which contained a debit card and a $58 metro card. They then fled east toward Webb Avenue.

One of the perps was described as Hispanic, wearing jeans and a tank top, and about 25 years old. The second was wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, and in his 30s. The third was not described. 

The case remains open to detectives.

2. Trio robs man

There was a similar robbery, of a 19-year-old man on July 7 at 9:30 a.m., according to authorities.

This incident took place in front of 3025 Godwin Terrace. The victim was approached from behind by three men. One of them punched the victim in the face, while another other took a Samsung Galaxy worth $100 and $35 Skullcandy headphones. The third suspect reportedly stood at a distance.

The robbers fled into 3054 Goodwin Terrace. The man who punched the victim was described as 5-foot-7 with an afro. The suspect who took the items was described as 5-foot-9 with long braids, and the there was no description for the third.

The case is still open to detectives.

3. Woman assaulted 

Police said a 23-year-old woman was assaulted in her mother’s apartment on July 6 at 7:45 p.m.

The victim was at 2816 Heath Ave. when another 23-year-old woman entered the apartment through the living room window via the fire escape. The victim was assaulted by the perpetrator, who repeatedly punched and kicked her, then threw a hookah pipe at the victim, which missed hitting her. 

The two women knew each other, although the details of their relationship were not reported. Police continue to investigate the altercation.  

4. Motorcycle accident 

A 56-year-old Hispanic man suffered severe injuries after losing control of his motorcycle on July 8, according to police. 

The man was at the corner of Moshulu Parkway on his black 2014 Harley Davidson. He was headed northbound at a high speed, toward the Major Deegan Expressway, when he lost control of his bike and hit the pavement. 

The victim was removed by Emergency Medical Services to a Montefiore hospital, where he was treated for head trauma. He was later stabilized and removed to Jacobi Medical Center, where he  was listed in critical condition.

Police could not confirm whether the man has since died. 

5. Senior’s car stolen 

Police said an 80-year-old man had his black 1989 Lincoln Sedan stolen on July 9. 

The victim left his car parked on July 7 at 7 a.m. on Blackstone Avenue and West 239th Street. An unknown person took the vehicle by the time the victim returned to it two days later. No broken glass was found at the scene. 

The case remains open to detectives.
