Police in the 50th Precinct needs help identifying and tracking down a man who tried to steal a necklace from a senior citizen.
The attempted robbery took place July 19 at a residential apartment on Exterior Street just before 11 a.m., according to police. A 62-year-old man was in the lobby of his unidentified residential apartment when a younger man allegedly tried to snatch a chain necklace he was wearing.
The reported perp was unsuccessful, taking off empty-handed. But police still want to slap handcuffs on him.
He's described as a back male, between 18 and 23, approximately 6 feet tall, and thin. He was last seen wearing a gray shirt and dark-colored sweatpants.
