Posted

Police need help finding a man they believe robbed a Broadway store early Friday evening.

At 5 p.m., an unidentified man walked into Petland at 5540 Broadway, reportedly pretended to have a firearm in his hand, and demanded money from the cash register, according to officials. The employee, not knowing for sure if the man actually was holding a gun, emptied the register, handing over $800.

The man grabbed the cash and ran, never actually showing a gun, and not injuring anyone.

Police have decribed the man as white, 5-foot-9, 240 pounds, and between 40 and 45. He had black hair, and was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray pants, dark-colored shoes, gray shirt and dark-colored sunglasses.
