PS 7 wows with winter dance

As winter intensifies, P.S. 7 Milton Fein is welcoming the cold with a winter ball Friday, Feb. 8 from 6 to 8 p.m.

It’s open to all grades, and takes place at the school, located at 3201 Kingsbridge Ave.

 

UFT fair goes
crazy for city kids

The United Federation of Teachers is calling all city schools to attend its third annual Bronx UFT College Fair on March 22 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Bronx UFT office, 2500 Halsey St.

More than 1,800 high schools are expected to attend.

Those colleges interested can register at UFT.org.

Students are expected to learn different aspects of college readiness, like the admissions process, financial aid and career services.

High school invites community inside

The International Leadership Charter High School is opening its doors again to give residents a taste of what’s inside.

The 3030 Riverdale Ave., school will be open Feb. 13 and Feb. 20 from 6 to 7 p.m., and is expected to give prospective parents and students the opportunity to interact with teachers about what the school is like.

Manhattan College
supports troops

Manhattan College has shined not only on an academic front, but on the military front as well.

For the fifth straight year, the Manhattan College Parkway school has made the Viqtory’s list of military-friendly schools. Manhattan partners with the Post 9/11 G.I. Bill Yellow Ribbon Program, which helps military personnel transition into academics.
