Clay Art Center is pleased to present REINVENTED: Future Now

An exhibit featuring 12 ceramic artists who utilize digital technology within a traditional studio practice.

Opening Reception:

Saturday, September 23rd, 5 – 7PM

Ongoing through November 11th

In 2017, Clay Art Center is celebrating its 60th anniversary! To commemorate this milestone we are highlighting the future of ceramic art and the cutting edge technologies that are pushing ceramic artists to take risks and explore new ways of creating.

Program Manager Adam Chau has curated a twelve person exhibit that features artists who utilize digital technology within a traditional studio practice. This show offers insight to the future of technology and ceramics – a practice that does not polarize the digital and analog, but hybridizes the two. Processes include 3d printing, lasercutting, 3d scanning, CNC routing, and more; Clay Art Center’s docents will be available to tour the show and talk about how each piece was made.
